So it was Bio-diversity day yesterday sunday the 25th of May 2008. I was at the organic Centre in Rossinver Co. Leitrim with my bus to take a group of walkers up to Dough Mountain to an area of protected Blanket bog. We had a National Parks Ranger guiding us. It was a beautiful day and it was nice to be out walking and soaking up the fantastic scenery.

Some new pictures I took of my Veggie-oil powered bus and trailer during the good weather we have been having in Fermanagh/Donegal recently.

So the weather is amazing right now and the more time I can spent outside the better!! So bank holiday monday and I took 2 friends of mine peter and sarah over to the amazing slieve league cliffs in Co. Donegal. These cliffs depending on who you talk to are either the highest or second highest sea cliffs in Europe!! But in any case at their highest point they sweep 600metres down into the wild Atlantic Ocean below. We drove through the fishing town of Killybegs on the way and got to the cliffs for 2 o'clock. We started our walk at a nice and easy pace stopping a lot along the way as the visability was just unbelievable, I had never seen it as good. Well both peter who is from Co. Tyrone and his partner sarah who is from New York had never been to slieve league before, well what a day to be introduced. We had a lovely relaxing time soaking up both the rays and the scenery. And this of course is one of the most scenic day tours I offer through Ireland Eco Tours.

Well the weather was great and the sun shone on us this weekend at the Fermanagh Environmental Festival, held in the grounds of the Lakeland form in Enniskillen. There was lots going on and displays from the RSPB and the EHS amoungst others. I had the green bus parked outside for everyone to see. But the highlight for me was getting my photo taken with Alaska the Bald eagle from Eagles Flying at the Irish raptor research centre in ballymote in Co.Sligo.
